Heidi L. Callender (Of-Counsel)
Heidi L. Callender is an Attorney whose practice spans property litigation, education law, nonprofit entities, contracts, corporate governance, and state and federal regulatory matters.
Heidi served in-house as an Assistant General Counsel at the University of Phoenix, focusing on state regulatory representation and institutional compliance. Prior to that, she spent time as a state lobbyist and a managing attorney of a boutique education law and consulting firm, working across charter schools, energy, and on nonprofit and corporate matters.
She earned her B.S. and M.B.A. from Lake Erie College and her J.D. with a concentration in Regulatory Law from Capital University Law School, where she served as President of the Student Bar Association and Federalist Society.
Heidi is also a published author of “Wind Energy in Ohio: Our Past, Present, and Future” and founder of the Heidi Callender® wellness brand. Outside the office, she is a FAA-licensed private pilot, a PADI-certified master and rescue diver, and a USCF-rated chess player. She enjoys playing golf and living an organic lifestyle on her farm with her husband and children.
